Group Info

We prepare selections of topics and make speedpaint studies from them.
The next theme will be announced on the 15th of each month.

Everyone is invited. You find a folder for each theme in our gallery.
We expect you to make speedpaint studies - that means you make the study in 2 hours and don't use tracing and the color picker. You can compare your results to the other members and hopefully you give and receive feedback.

You find the references in the Favorites of this group - i wanted to add the references in the galleries but that needs the stock provider to coorporate and some visit their stock very seldom.

As our group grows, so do the onslaught of submissions. Our group is not a portal to promote yourself, but rather a learning study group. If you do not actively participate in challenges or offer helpful feedback to others, dont expect us to accept your art in the non-challenge speed paint study folders.

Hey speedpainters!

if you never struggled with clouds you never tried to paint them. Here - let us help you. :)

Same rules as always. 2 hour time limit! No tracing! No color picking from the original ref! Figure out your own colors. Make sure you include credit and links where you got your stock photo in the DA description. Not only do most stock provider want to be informed if there pictures are used, but for study reasons referencing to the original source is better for getting crits.

:star: When you're done submit it to this folder here:
Also say a few words on your study in the description. Helps others when commenting on your work. It's always good to take a moment and reflect on your studies so you can better tackle and improve on those areas in the next study.

Common things to answer are:
►What did you learn from doing this study?
►What did you find difficult?
►What area's do you wish to improve on?

As always, if you're participating in these studies, it's highly encouraged to comment on other people's studies when they get submitted to the group. Sharing advice crits and tips will help each other grow!

That's it! Best of luck this month! We are looking forward to seeing each others studies!

Have fun! and let the earth be peaceful one day....

thank you very much for accepting me and for the compliment :-) but, well, I'm not very good at speedpainting, so I hope I'll improve!

No problem, and that's exactly what this study group is for! To study and improve until you become a super artist! Well, something like that. ;)

Hey, I just studied one of the photos from "torso" folder. I found it difficult to find a folder where I should upload it now, the structure of folders is changed and I don't see a "torso" folder in the gallery. Help? :)

Haha sorry, my mistake, there has never been such topic :) That explain the lack of the folder.
