Looks like the ‘Insects, Spiders and creepy crawlers theme’ won your votes for the September speed paint challenge!
Just in time to help get you warmed up for Halloween next month!
There was a great selection to choose from and my friends really did a great job of picking out a nice variety of creepy creatures to inspire our studies this month. I hope you like them as much as we do
Oh yeah, I almost forgot to introduce myself!
I'm Indu! Though I've been a member of the group for quite some time now and many of you may already have seen me lurking around your submissions as well as your DA pages, I was only recently asked to help out with the more administrative side of things. I am of course very happy to join such a great team and contribute what I can to this project. Oh and yeah, being new comes with it's quirks, I'm really sorry to have finally gotten around to posting this so late on the 16th of the month instead of the 15th. I guess it's part of the learning curve that comes with being a newbie. Won't happen again...PROMISE!
That being said, let's get those creepy crawler juices flowing and get painting!
This month's selections:
Here's Da Rules
Same rules as always. 2 hour time limit! No tracing! No color picking from the original ref! Figure out your own colors. Make sure you include credit and links where you got your stock photo in the DA description. Not only do most stock provider want to be informed if there pictures are used, but for study reasons referencing to the original source is better for getting crits.
When your done submit it to this folder here: speedpaintstudies.deviantart.c…
Also say a few words on your study in the description. Helps others when commenting on your work. Its always good to take a moment and reflect on your studies so you can better tackle and improve on those areas in the next study.
Common things to answer are:
►What did you learn from doing this study?
►What did you find difficult?
►What area's do you wish to improve on?
As always, if you're participating in these studies, it's highly encouraged to comment on other peoples studies when they get submitted to the group. Sharing advice crits and tips will help each other grow!
That's it! Best of luck this month! We are looking forward to seeing each others studies!
